Independent Dealer Products Policies
Setting Up A New Account: If you are an established business with a Federal Tax ID number you may open an account with Independent Dealer Products. Please contact us via phone or email to receive information on our new account policies.
Payment: Customers that purchase less than $3000.00 in product a year will be placed on a pre-paid credit card account. Once $3000 in product is reached, a credit application may be filled out for consideration of a Net 30 account. Approval of a Net 30 account is at the discretion of the Accounts Receivable department.
Discounts: Any discounts given will be on the condition that the invoice is paid on time. Customer forfeits all discounts if invoice is paid after the due date.
Freight: F.O.B. Owosso, MI. All orders shipped via the cheapest method (FedEx or Trucklines). If you would like to use a specific carrier, we must be notified when the order is placed.
Drop Ship Orders: There is a $15.00 drop ship fee per order placed that is not being shipped to the billing address. No minimum purchase on drop ship accounts.
Warehouse Orders: There is a $250.00 product minimum for all orders. The $250.00 minimum is after all discounts are taken. This does not apply to drop ship customers.
Ship Time: Average shipping time of items in stock is 1-3 business days, plus transit time.
Past Due Invoices: Invoices 30 days past due will incur a 1.8% finance charge. Accounts 90 days past due will be turned over to collections and an 18% charge will be added to the account.
Freight Allowance Program:
Customers East of the Mississippi: On orders where the product equals $2500.00 or more, IDP will pay the freight charges on the order. Invoice must be paid on time to receive discount, or customer will be responsible for all freight charges.
Customers West of the Mississippi: On orders where the product equals $2500.00 or more, IDP will pay 25% of the freight charges on the order. Invoice must be paid on time to receive discount or customer will be responsible for all freight charges.
Michigan Lower Peninsula Customers: On orders where the product equals $500.00 or more IDP will pay the freight charges on the order. Invoice must be paid on time to receive discount, or customer will be responsible for all freight charges.
