Matthew just can’t stand wearing the traditional socks and boots like the other Gnomes wear. He’d much rather run around barefoot feeling the dirt between his toes. The other Gnomes have found that Matthew makes a great companion to the animals in the forest. He puts them at ease which makes it easier for the others to treat the injured animal.
